We meet by parking lot D in the lawn. Please bring a lawn chair and dress appropriately with sturdy shoes for walking and a sun hat or rain gear depending on the weather. If you have a favorite poem, scripture or reading that you want to share relating to a nature theme, please bring it to share. Don’t forget a water bottle as we will be walking! Contact Marcia Florkey with questions.
Church of the Wild is an opportunity to explore nature with others, these special gatherings are a time for everyone to slow down, renew your spirit, refresh your body and expand your mind. These gatherings are facilitated by Marcia Florkey and Beth Vanoli. We begin with a liturgy of poetry and readings, followed by a time of Centering Prayer. The “homily” is our soul in conversation with the Divine, each in our own way—sauntering* the Labyrinth, the Stations of the Cross, or around the grounds and nature trails, gathering back together for a time of sharing.
