Accountable To: Hope Collective Church Pastor

Essential Duties: 

Meet with the HCC pastor and volunteer worship team to plan weekend worship celebrations that articulate and implement the mission of HCC in all aspects of worship ministry which is inclusive of all people and affirming of the LGBTQ+ community.  Will lead worship 3 Sundays per month and will develop rotation of volunteer and guest leaders.  

General Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Articulate and implement the mission of HCC in all aspects of worship ministry 
• Partner with other HCC ministries to arrange and assure overall cohesion in ministry
• Attend weekly staff meeting, and occasional planning day
• Meet regularly with HCC pastor and volunteer worship team to strategize and plan weekend worship celebrations
• Lead worship 3 Sundays a month, and develop rotation of volunteer and guest leaders
• Enlistment, supervision, development, and retention of all worship musicians
• Assure quality, authentic worship for all HCC worship celebrations and events
• Book/feature local musicians, artists, dancers, during worship celebrations
• Rehearse instrumentalists and singers weekly plus Sunday mornings for multiple worship celebrations (during the weeks you are leading worship)
• Schedule the sound tech team for each worship celebration a month in advance.
• Schedule worship teams and worship sets 2-3 weeks in advance
• Work closely with media team to ensure lyrics and media elements are accurate   
• Collaborate with Online Worship Coordinator and team
• Oversee purchase of equipment needed for worship
• Other duties as required

 Experience:

• Professional experience as worship leader in a church setting
• Track record of recruiting, equipping, training and retaining volunteer instrumentalists and vocalists
• Experience in working in team to accomplish creative weekly worship design
• Experience with audio/sound or media helpful
• Worship leader, band leader and ensemble/choir leader experience

 Skill Requirements:

• Communicates well and often.
• Craft worship experience and create atmosphere that bring about life change
• Lead groups of people in music, contemplation and prayer
• Plays a musical instrument (preferred)
• Ability to develop teams and cultivate new talent
• Ability to rehearse band and teach vocal parts
• Ability to arrange and chart music (or ability to find charting resources  if needed)
• Ability to work in and contribute to a staff/volunteer team environment 
• Proficient with/able to learn Worship Tools software (or similar programs)
