What is Wreaths Across America?
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, their mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be a blessing to the community by placing wreaths at the Dayton National Cemetery on Saturday, December 17. The procession starts at 11:45am, and the ceremony begins at noon. Dress for the weather; you will want long sleeves and gloves because the wreaths are real pine boughs. HCC has also sponsored some wreaths.
